Yesterday I left from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Saying goodbye to my Mom, Dad, Steph, Cody and Beth has been the toughest part of my trip so far. The Swiss Air flights were all smooth and wonderful, though:

Chicago to Zurich, Switzerland… 8.5 hours
Zurich to Nairobi, Uganda… 7.5 hours
Nairobi to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania… 1 hour

Swiss Air is really nice, flying on a big 747, getting served Swiss cheese and chocolate; it’s really nice. I read a lot, watched some movies and listened to music. The flight was just great, and now I am here. Finally!
