Background of the Goat Races
Apparently these races happen every year in Dar es Salaam. It’s a festive atmosphere with lots of people betting on their goats.
During the races we couldn’t find one of my classmates. Turns out he was wrapped around the nasty hole in the portapotty after having one too many shots of konyagi, the national liquor of Tanzania.
